Terms of Service

Socratopia is an AI-powered Socratic roleplay learning application developed by SocraLab LLC (hereinafter “the Software”). The Software provides a desktop client, official website, forum, and the Socratopia Library — a catalog of AI-generated textbooks. By downloading, installing, or using the Software, or by creating an account, you agree to these terms.

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Software. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement
• You must comply with the laws and regulations of your jurisdiction when using the Software

When using the Software and forum, you must not:

• Use the service for purposes other than personal learning
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Software
• Resell, transfer, or share your subscription account or forum code
• Post illegal, infringing, pornographic, violent, or harassing content on the forum
• Create multiple accounts to abuse the free token allowance or the referral system
• Attempt to circumvent token limits, the referral system, or any other service restriction
• Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the Software in any way

• The Software’s code, interface design, preset companion images and persona documents are the intellectual property of SocraLab LLC
• Custom companions, worlds, and storylines you create are your intellectual property
• Content you share on the forum remains your intellectual property; you grant SocraLab LLC a license to display and distribute it within the platform, and SocraLab LLC reserves the right to remove content that violates these terms
• You represent that you have the legal right to upload and use any materials you import into the Software. Copyright of imported textbooks belongs to the original authors; you are solely responsible for ensuring your use of imported materials complies with applicable copyright law

• The Socratopia Library is a catalog of AI-generated textbooks distributed through the Software by SocraLab LLC, offered for free or through Library Credits
• SocraLab LLC has not performed comprehensive human review of Library content and does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or originality of any passage. Library books are provided “as is” for personal learning only
• SocraLab LLC’s copyright in Library books is limited to the selection, arrangement, and compilation of each book; it does not extend to underlying content that may coincide with prior works as a consequence of AI generation
• Library books are licensed for personal learning only. Redistribution, republication, or commercial use of Library content requires prior written permission from SocraLab LLC
• You may not share, distribute, or transfer downloaded book files to other users or devices not belonging to you
• SocraLab LLC disclaims all liability for content errors and for any third-party intellectual property claims arising from Library books. If you believe a Library book infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact support@socratopia.app and we will investigate promptly and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the content

• AI-generated teaching content may contain errors and is for learning reference only—it does not constitute professional academic, medical, legal, or financial guidance
• We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of the third-party AI providers we use to deliver the service
• The Software is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SocraLab LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied. SocraLab LLC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the Software
• In no event shall SocraLab LLC’s total liability to you exceed the amount you paid to SocraLab LLC in the twelve months preceding the claim
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate the service when necessary, with advance notice where possible

If you violate these terms, we may suspend or terminate your account and services. For serious violations (such as service abuse or posting illegal content), we may act without prior notice. Upon termination, you will lose access to your account and any remaining subscription token allocation; token rewards and data stored locally on your device are not affected.

We may amend these terms from time to time. Amended terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Software constitutes acceptance of the amended terms. For material changes, we will notify you via an in-app notification.

SocraLab LLC is a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Florida, USA. These terms are governed by, and shall be construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Disputes arising from these terms shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation; if negotiation fails, the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Florida, USA. Nothing in this section limits consumer rights that cannot be waived under the mandatory law of your country of residence.
